About Me

Hey, thanks for stopping by!

I'm Kirsty and I love travelling.

Since my first overseas holiday in 2012, I've wanted to have a travel blog. Fast forward 12 years later and I'm finally starting it. So, you may be wondering why it took so long, well I guess I never really got around to it and I could never settle on a name. However, now as I navigate the joy and chaos of travelling with children, I felt it was a good time to start my blog. Here I’ll share my tips, tricks, experiences and reviews, in the hopes that it might help other individuals and families, plan and/or survive their family holidays, or at the very least find something they enjoy reading. It's also an excuse for me to go back through our past holiday photos and reminisce, as well as keep in touch with the travel industry, until such time I live in a location where I can return to the industry again.

Whether you are a seasoned traveller or new to travelling, I hope you enjoy following along, as I write about destinations, experiences, attractions, review travel products, and share travel tips, interesting things I discover, and more.

Now you know why I started the blog, but here’s a little bit about me. I'm a mum of two, beautiful, sweet, but cheeky young children, and wife of a fun loving, cheeky, but sometimes moody "big kid". So, as you can imagine there is a lot of fun, laughter, tantrums and chaos in our house, hence the name. Some say I'm a typical Aussie country girl, despite growing up in a small country town, and never craving the city life, I still somehow ended up moving 1500km, to a city I'd never been to before, for a fresh start. I feel this is may be where my love for travel and discovering new places began.

In addition to being a travel blogger, I'm a travel industry professional, I hold qualifications in both Travel and Tourism, and Events, and I have spent the last 10 years studying and working between these two industries, until a sudden, unplanned move from the city to a rural town in Central Queensland, where there isn't a lot of employment options in either Travel and Tourism or Events.

You may wonder why both industries? Well, I have a passion for both, and well I'm also a little bit OCD, and love planning and organisation, which both industries require a lot of. But what a lot of people don't realise is how closely the two industries overlap and work together, I mean how many of you have travelled to go to a concert, festival, or sporting event?

Anyway, that’s a little about me, and if I sound like someone you may want to work with, please click on ” Work With Me ”.
